Dr Trina Gilbert

Her PhD research in lipid metabolism has been recognized by highly regarded international organizations, including the American Heart Association, which awarded her the prestigious New Investigator and Junior Investigator Awards. More recently, she's been involved in elucidating the causes of islet transplant failure and the effect of kidney disease on bone density and architecture. She maintains a strong commitment to educating medical students and trainees and has received numerous awards for her contributions to medical education.
Dr Gilbert is extensively trained in all areas of endocrinology and has a special interest in thyroid, parathyroid, pituitary, adrenal, hypogonadism/amenorrhea, and osteoporosis. She accepts referrals from GPs and specialists for most endocrine conditions, and is currently employed with Alfred Health and is in private practice at the Epworth Hospital, Richmond.
